What is NR Creativo Solutions?

NR Creativo Solutions Ltd is an IT solutions company founded in Sri Lanka, serving businesses across Vancouver Island. Their services span managed IT, web development, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and network support — a comprehensive offering for small and mid-sized businesses looking to grow their digital presence and protect their operations.

The company came to me with an existing website built in custom HTML and CSS. While functional, the old site had limitations — it required a developer for every content update, the visual design felt dated compared to competitors, and the service structure was harder to navigate than it needed to be. The brief was to redesign the site entirely, migrate to WordPress with Elementor so the client could manage their own content, and create a design that better communicated the company's expertise and professionalism.

This was a freelance project completed alongside my other work. I handled everything: visual design direction, WordPress setup, Elementor page building, content restructuring, SEO configuration, responsive optimisation, and launch.

What we were starting from.

The original site was hand-coded in HTML and CSS with a purple and gold visual theme. It covered the company's services, approach, and FAQs — but had grown to feel cluttered and hard to maintain. Every content update required going into the code directly, and the layout was becoming outdated compared to modern IT company websites.

Old Homepage
Before — HTML/CSS

Before — HTML/CSS
Original HTML/CSS website — before the redesign
⚠️
Hard-coded — no CMS — Every text change, service update, or FAQ edit required directly editing HTML files. The client had no way to manage their own content independently.
⚠️
Visually dated — The purple and gold palette with dense icon grids looked busy and cluttered. It didn't communicate the clean, professional credibility that an IT solutions company needs to establish trust.
⚠️
Too many services crammed onto one page — The old homepage tried to list eight service icons at once, overwhelming visitors before they could understand what the company actually specialised in.
⚠️
Weak brand positioning — The company had expanded from its Sri Lanka roots to serve Vancouver Island businesses, but the old site didn't reflect that evolution or clearly communicate the company's geographic focus and growth story.
⚠️
No clear conversion path — The FAQ and CTA sections existed but weren't structured to guide visitors toward booking a consultation or making contact. The journey from landing to inquiry was unclear.

The new nrcreativosolutions.com

The redesigned site is built on WordPress with Elementor — giving the client full control over their content through a visual editor, no coding required. The visual identity was completely refreshed: cleaner typography, a professional blue and dark palette replacing the busy purple/gold, and more whitespace throughout to let the content breathe.

Services were distilled from eight loosely defined options into three clear, focused categories: Managed IT Services, Web Solutions, and Cybersecurity Services. Each gets a proper description and its own visual treatment, making it immediately clear what the company offers and who it's for.

Side by side comparison.

The same company, the same services — completely different first impression.

Key Improvements
Client-managed CMS — WordPress/Elementor means the client edits pages, updates services, and adds blog content without touching code
3 focused services vs 8 scattered icons — Managed IT · Web Solutions · Cybersecurity
Cleaner visual identity — professional blue/dark palette, generous whitespace, modern typography replacing the busy purple/gold
Company story section — "Founded in Sri Lanka, expanding across Vancouver Island" narrative added to build connection and trust
Clear consultation CTA — "Book a Free Consultation" placed prominently at multiple points in the page journey
Remote Support page — dedicated page added for existing clients to access remote support quickly

A homepage that builds trust and converts.

The new homepage was structured as a deliberate top-to-bottom journey — from establishing credibility through to booking a consultation.

Hero "Elevate Your Business with Expert IT Solutions" — three benefit bullet points, dual CTA: Contact Us + Learn More
Services 3-card grid: Managed IT Services · Web Solutions · Cybersecurity Services — each with a full description
About "Growing Together with Innovation" — company story, Sri Lanka origins, Vancouver Island expansion, sustainability focus
Why Choose Us 4 trust pillars: Tailored Solutions · Proactive Support · Deep Expertise · Global Roots, Local Commitment
CTA Banner "Unlock Your Business Potential with a Free Consultation" — prominent Book A Consultation button

Every page designed and built.

Beyond the homepage, each inner page was designed individually with consistent components and a clear purpose — from detailed service information through to the contact and remote support flows.

Optimised for every screen.

All pages were built with Elementor's responsive editor and tested across desktop, tablet, and mobile. The navigation collapses cleanly into a mobile menu, service cards stack vertically, and the hero section remains impactful at all sizes.

From hand-coded to client-managed.

Moving from custom HTML/CSS to WordPress with Elementor was the key strategic decision. The old codebase gave fine-grained control but made the client completely dependent on a developer. The new stack gives them a CMS they can actually use — and me a build environment that produces professional results quickly.

What I learned.

01
Less is more for IT companies. The old site tried to show everything at once — eight service icons, dense text, busy visuals. Stripping it back to three clear services and giving each one space to breathe made the offering far easier to understand and trust.
02
The migration decision shapes the entire project. Choosing WordPress over simply restyling the existing HTML/CSS was a bigger upfront investment, but it's the right long-term call. The client can now add blog posts, update their services, and manage their site without ever contacting a developer.
03
The company story is underused by most IT firms. "Founded in Sri Lanka, now serving Vancouver Island" is a genuinely interesting narrative — it communicates global expertise combined with local commitment. Surfacing that story gave the redesigned site a personality that the original completely lacked.
